Introducing Intracel

Dr Nick Lowe is proud to present the first INTRAcel practice in the UK at his Cranley Clinic in London. This pioneering skin treatment technique uses unique insulated Fractional Radio Frequency Microneedles to treat targeted areas through powerful fast penetration, without damaging the epidermis.

Collagen, the protein which constitutes the main structural component of the dermis (lower layer of skin), is essential for skin strength, elasticity and integrity. By transforming electro-energy into thermal energy, microneedles heat the deep dermis while leaving the above tissues unaffected, allowing the collagen fibres at this level to tighten and reconstruct through stimulating fibroblasts. The result of this? Damaged cells are denatured, destroying the causes of acne, acne bacteria and sebaceous glands. In ageing skin, body tissues are weakened through cellular protein changes and a gradual loss of collagen; thus, stimulating collagen production through targeting these cells has also been shown to reduce wrinkles and improve skin texture.

INTRAcel is recommended for skin tightening, reducing acne, improving surgical and acne scars, reducing pore size, and general skin rejuvenation as well as the reduction of visible stretchmarks and scars. Patients will require 1-3 treatment sessions approximately 35-45 days apart; some swelling and redness is common after treatments, but side effects are generally mild. Patients taking Accutane must have ceased treatment for 12 months prior to INTRAcel and some anti-coagulant, anti-inflammatory and fish/omega oil supplements can interfere with the treatment, so get in touch with the team at the Cranley Clinic to discuss your individual needs.
