I was recently elected President of the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group (BCDG) at the British Association of Dermatologists Annual Conference in Liverpool.
The BCDG is a national, UK based, group of Dermatologists who offer unbiased educational programmes, and support clinical and laboratory research into cosmetic dermatology.
Among other things the BCDG advises on the curriculum in cosmetic dermatology for trainee dermatologists, and facilitates communications between the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) and the cosmetic industry. The aim is to promote public awareness and understanding of the dermatologist’s role in the dissemination of cosmetic advice and treatment.
I am very excited by this new venture and plan to use my experience and knowledge to help the BCDG go from strength to strength. www.bcdg.info
