30 countries across five continents participated at this year’s congress, I was delighted to be invited to speak about the different roles Botox and fillers play in cosmetic dermatology and to chair the radiofrequency session. Speaking about the history of Botox and fillers reminds me of how far we have come in the cosmetic dermatology field. I was one of the first researchers in Botox and my clinics in California and London were leaders in research and treatments into fillers. Recent government legislation has finally been put into place as a safeguard for patients, whose safety and satisfaction has always been a main concern in my clinic and the way I practice, so I feel this is a very positive development. There have been an increasing number of fillers available in recent years plus a variety of skin rejuvenation treatments. This was an important meeting where we physicians could share our experiences for the benefit of our patients.
